Arrived At The FMCA Rally In Goshen, IN

We drove 178 miles from Holiday Shores Campground in Durand, Mi to The FMCA Rally in Goshen, In at the 4H Fair Grounds. Arrived at Noon and were set up shortly afterward. We are here with two other couples from our motorhome group.

The Beginning Of Full Timing

This is the official unofficial day we are full timers. Went to the baptism of our great niece on Sunday, my wife is the God mother, and spent time with family before we headed back to the campground where we are staying. On Tuesday we head to the FMCA Rally in Goshen, In. Never been to one and looking forward to it. For the benefit of relatives I am going to try to keep this up with at least once a week postings.

Officially Out Of House

We are officially out of our house. The in laws came out Sunday to help finish taking the remainder of items out of house. We filled a twenty yard dumpster with things no longer needed. It's amazing what you can acquire over forty years.

Final Loading

Making the final decisions on the things that are going into the Motor Home. Already space is getting tight. Will have to initiate my "Twelve Month Rule". In a year if we haven't touched it, it gets thrown away. As funny as it may sound it has worked for us for over twenty years. Have only twice needed things we have thrown away.

Almost Done Cleaning

Just about done going thru the house cleaning. Have two piles of things, one that is junk and one that the relatives might want to look thru to see if they might want something that we no longer want. The dumpster is coming on Aug 14 to dispose of the junk.

Packing Up 40 Years Of Stuff

Here we are sorting and packing up the things in our home to go full timing. It seems like we have been at it for ever. We have sold the house to our nephew and are letting some of the things in the house go with it.

Wife Has Retired

The wife has retired effective July 9, 2013. She worked 30 1/2 years in the office at Wolverine World Wide in Rockford, Michigan. Here she is being thanked by the president of the company, Blake Krueger.
