Well another week has sped by. The time here in Florida just seems to fly by.
Monday afternoons is the womens shuffleboard where the wife, Ellen, and her friend, Sandy, play. They aren't always partners but have a good time.
Tuesday afternoon we visited George and Linda. Linda and my wife worked together for ten years at Wolverine World Wide in Rockford, Michigan. They are camped in an RV park just ten miles North of where we are staying. Talk about a coincidence, being so close. George and I went to the same church many years ago. Sure is a small world.
Wednesday I planned a get together of the members of the motor home group we belong to in Michigan that are in Florida for the winter. There are thirteen members of the group and nine of them were here in Florida of which eight were able to get together. We met at the Der Dutchman Restaurant in Sarasota, Florida for their noon lunch buffet. Needless to say it was excellent and everyone had a good time. I have posted some pictures below.
Thursday night we went down the road to our "Rocket Launch Viewing Site". It's just a dead end street with no street lights that has a great view of the eastern sky. This was going to be a night liftoff of a rocket carrying a communication satellite. At 9:30 PM there it went and we had no problem seeing it, even being 75 miles away. We were able to watch it for quite a while as the skys were clear.
Friday and Saturday were days of rest and just taking it easy.
